Children Enjoying Community Awareness Day at St. Paul Development, June 1, 2002

SC Regional Housing Authority No. 3 is concerned about the families its serves and has implemented several programs designed to help families become more community-aware and self-sufficient. Events held at developments such as the Community Drug Elimination Awareness Day provide families with the opportunity to learn more about the educational, healthcare, and social service resources available in their communities. These events also allow children and teens the opportunity to play fun-filled games and participate in other recreational activities all while becoming more aware about the dangers of drugs, gangs, and other social problems affecting their age groups.

Through collaborative partnerships with various public service agencies, SCRHA3 is dedicated to promoting community-wide educational, supportive, upward mobility, and recreational services to counter attack the social, criminal, and drug-related problems that might be found within its communities.

SCRHA3 also provides upward mobility tools through setting up Community Outreach Centers in its developments. These centers allow the residents access to computers, the Internet, reading programs, tutoring programs, and training programs.
